Interventional Informatics, LLC
Consulting Services Physician and leadership engagement is critical to the success of every clinical IT project. Yet engagement alone is often not enough to assure success. An in depth understanding of software, implementation, workflow and importantly, thought flow, is required. As practicing physicians experienced in EMR implementation and use in large organizations, our team effectively translates and communicates bridging gaps between vendor, IT, clinician and leader.
Interventional Informatics: Defined Interventional Informatics is an innovative remote healthcare monitoring service designed to anticipate and avoid patient harm in the delivery of care, optimize reportable performance measures and ensure compliance with best practice medicine in acute care hospitals and in a variety of other settings.
Interventional Informatics: Described Interventional Informatics is focused on high risk, high value patient conditions that can be anticipated from online patient records stored in EMRs, PHRs, laboratory and other clinical systems. Simple alerts embedded in the client's clinical workflow, instead of interrupting the care givers, are redirected to an off-floor remote informatics bunker and analyzed within the overall context of patient care by a physician-informaticist. When evaluation reveals that potential harm is probable or improved evidence-based care is possible, the informaticist in the bunker works with the primary care givers to develop an appropriate intervention.
